Alpenhof Lodge

Alpenhof Lodge is a warm, family-owned, European chalet–style hotel in Mammoth Lakes, set across the street from the Village at Mammoth and close to 3,500 acres of skiable terrain. As an all-season base in the High Sierra, it places mountain adventures within easy reach: skiing and snowboarding in winter, with hiking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, and boating when the snow melts. Indoors, inviting fireplaces and cozy corners provide relaxed spaces for an unhurried glass of wine.

Recently renovated rooms, suites, and cabins feature free Wi‑Fi and flat‑screen TVs. In keeping with local norms, accommodations do not include air conditioning; the region’s mild summers are complemented by fans in every unit, while heaters ensure comfort when temperatures dip. The Village is just steps away, with Mammoth Gondola access within a five‑minute walk. The property sits on the free Town of Mammoth Lakes shuttle route, which runs through town year‑round and connects to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area during the winter. After a day outside, guests can unwind in the Jacuzzi—indoors in winter and outdoors in summer—or enjoy a summertime swim in the seasonal pool before settling in at The Clocktower Cellar, the on-site casual pub known for its extensive beer and whiskey selection.
